We know that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and your family. Our admissions procedures are created to find the right fit between school, student and family.

The scholastic year at Children First runs mid August – May, with a summer program June - August.

Children can also begin at any point in the school year; therefore we continually accept applications.

Our Admissions process is as follows:

TOUR
We encourage parents to tour the school before submitting an application. Generally, parents have a better time focusing if they tour without their children, but it is not necessary. To set up a personal tour at a time convenient for you, please contact Trish. Tours begin in mid-Ocober.

SUBMIT APPLICATION
To download the admissions application (2 pages; PDF), click here. Once the application and fee have been received, we will call to schedule a classroom visit.

CLASSROOM VISIT
Your child will spend a total of two mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in one of our classes. The time spent with your child will help us determine placement within our program to ensure it is complementary to your child's needs and interests.

We contact parents as soon as possible to offer an available space.

WAIT POOL
Since we generally have more applicants than openings available, some applications will be placed in our wait pool. When an opening occurs, we review all applications in the wait pool and offer the space to the candidate who best complements the class, giving preference to earliest applicants and siblings.
