Once a child is able to pull him/herself up, their eagerness for different stimulus grows. In our carefully prepared environment that maximizes their gross motor development, Cruisers can explore safely with materials suitable for their particular needs.
The difference of just a few months in age allows the classroom to have a variety of skill levels, thus allowing children to model one another and help build confidence.
Our guides acknowledge that this age is one often marked by separation anxiety, so we work hard to comfort each child and develop a foundation of confidence in them. One practical way we do this is to welcome children at their car during morning drop off, which helps ease that first transition of the day.
Cruiser guides take particular pride in watching each child's progression as they grow older because it is such a critical – and fun! – time in their life.
